Most 36-year-old women think you’re a dirty old man. This does not mean that you’re not a great guy with a ton to give and the purest intentions. I know you were looking for advice, Dale, so I don’t want to leave you without it. One, sign up with one of those successful men/younger women sites.
Now you’re going to get the same song and dance as every other guy who has written to complain about women on the Internet. So let’s say you’re a 36-year-old woman, entering the prime of your life. Yeah, 45 is a little old, you say, but you want to be open-minded. It’s that you’re failing to recognize what most younger women want. At least you know that a woman on Millionaire Match might be more willing to sacrifice youth for security.
When women do respond, the conversation goes nowhere (ie. Sometimes they may meet a woman for coffee however afterwards she will stop replying or tell them because she lacks interest.
She may express this lack of attraction by saying there is “no chemistry”, or she “just wants to be friends”, or that she “isn’t feeling it”, or that he is a “nice guy”, etc.
A couple of weeks ago I had coffee with a blind date who was attractive, interesting, and successful... Before that, I had a couple of dates and the next day had inexplicable headaches. Not only because it's time consuming when you already need an additional 2 hours in the day to get everything done, but also because there's no one that will love your children as much as you do.
I guess what I'm telling myself is--I'd rather be single. From my perspective as a working single mom, a guy has to be pretty special to take time away from my child when I already wish that I had more time with him.
Plus, I'd love to show her a nice nuclear family 1 day... Right" (if there is one) :) that I will look back and regret not spending that extra time with my son... He's 5 now and wants all my time, not sure that when he's a teenager he'll feel the same way. I feel it makes more sense to use what little personal time I have away from my daughter to focus on ME, not a man.
You’re a successful older man who wants to date a woman significantly younger than him. Needless to say, this goes for ALL people who are dating online. We want what WE want, even if what we want is unrealistic.
Websites generally attempt to pair singles with matches who are demographically similar. We’re all so dazzled by looks and youth that we pass up amazing people who are a much better fit. The woman who graduated high school in the same year as you? “I can’t help what I’m attracted to,” say all of my clients – both male and female. I do know, however, that as long as they close their minds to dating people who are age-appropriate, they’re really going to struggle with online dating.
You need to date." There are plenty of things I need to do: I need to work. I need to do laundry and get groceries and walk my dog. I have four kids, a needy dog and a bazillion amazing friends. Before my divorce, I hadn't lived alone other than a couple months-long stretch when I was a flight attendant back in 1989.
I could be out doing something every single night of the week if I wanted to. I'd lived with my parents, and then with roommates, and then with a boyfriend who became a husband.
